Description: Carte de visite of Nancy Jane Whitney, Etta Attenbury, and an unidentified woman (Millie?). All three of the women are wearing dresses characteristics of the late 1860's/early1870's- big skirts with ruffled bottoms and large sleeves. Nancy Jane and Millies' dresses are plaid while Etta's is a solid color.
Biographical Note: It is unclear the relationship between the three women, possibly friends? Nancy Jane (Jennie) Whitney is the daughter of Senator Albion P. Whitney and Susan Eastman.
